Actualmente es profesora e investigadora del Departamento Académico de Administración. Es Ingeniera Industrial de la UAM-Azcapotzalco, tiene una Maestría en Ingeniería por la UNAM y un doctorado en Ingeniería y Políticas Públicas con especialidad en Estrategia, Emprendimiento y Cambio Tecnológico por la Universidad de Carnegie Mellon en Estados Unidos de América.
Sus principales áreas de investigación son el análisis de los determinantes de la productividad científica, la evaluación de políticas de ciencia y tecnología, la innovación y el emprendimiento. Es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores Nivel 2. También colabora con el Conacyt y otros organismos como evaluadora de proyectos y premios de investigación.
Ha dictado cursos de Desarrollo Empresarial, Innovación y Estrategia. Ha publicado artículos en diversas revistas internacionales como Research Policy, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Plos One, Scientometrics, entre otras. Entre las distinciones recibidas destacan la medalla Gabino Barreda por sus estudios de maestría y el premio a la mejor tesis de doctorado que otorga el Institute for Operations Research and the Management Science (INFORMS), fue becaria del Conacyt en sus estudios de maestría y doctorado, y también becaria Fulbright en el programa NEXUS.
En términos profesionales se desempeñó como Directora de Asuntos Internacionales y Becas del Conacyt; y también fue Coordinadora de Planeación Estratégica en el Instituto Tecnológico de Teléfonos de México.

Currently she is professor and researcher of the Business School. She has a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering from UAM.Azcapotzalco, a master’s degree in Engineering from UNAM, and a PhD in Engineering and Public Policy with an specialization in Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Technological Change from Carnegie Mellon University in USA.
Her research interests are the analysis of the determinants of research productivity, the evaluation of science and technology policy, innovation and entrepreneurship. She is member of the Mexican System of Researchers, Level 2. She also collaborates with Conacyt and other institutions as a reviewer of research grants and awards.
She has taught courses on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Strategy. She has published in several international journals such as Research Policy, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Plos One, Scientometrics, among others. She graduated from her master’s degree with the Gabino Barreda honor, and received the Best Dissertation Award for her PhD thesis from the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Science (INFORMS), she studied her master’s degree and her PhD with a scholarship from Conacyy and was a Fulbright scholar under the NEXUS program.
She was Deputy General Director of International Affairs and Scholarships at Conacyt; and Strategic Planning Coordinator at the Instituto Tecnológico de Teléfonos de México.
